Pat Boone sings there are several romances woven into the plot and it is changed a bit from Germany to Scotland from the book which I loved. I saw the movie as a child.. I love underearth stories like c s lewis The Silver chair that show below ground worlds. This is corny but fun and episodic our heroes James Mason Arlene Dahl keep running into one problem after another dinosaurs, a giant man, ocean storm on an interior sea , Atlantis etc . Journey To The Center Of The Earth is a wonderful movie based on the classic book of the same name. James Mason was at his best and a young Pat Boone added the music and charm for the younger set. The cast as a whole worked so well together, with special effects that were so finely executed that even today's remakes seem to lack that spark that make this movie THE Journey To The Center Of The Earth! A true classic!
