About this product

Product Information

"Donald Wolfe has written one of the most absorbing accounts of Marilyn's life to date." --Fred Lawrence Guiles, author of Norma Jean "Admirable ...Wolfe takes us very close indeed to the dark truth about Monroe, the Kennedys, and that lonely death in the California night." --Anthony Summers, author of Goddess: The Secret Lives of Marilyn Monroe Fifty years after her death, the Marilyn Monroe mystique remains as strong and alluring as ever--as evidenced by Michelle Williams' Golden Globe-winning performance in the critically acclaimed film, My Week with Marilyn , and NBC TV's drama Smash about the creation of a Marilyn-themed Broadway musical. In The Last Days of Marilyn Monroe , author Donald H. Wolfe, a former Hollywood screenwriter and film editor, examines the tragic starlet's final weeks and offers startling evidence to support his provocative claim that Marilyn's alleged suicide was, in fact, a homicide. A powerful and intimate look into the dark side of Hollywood and John F. Kennedy's Camelot, The Last Days of Marilyn Monroe is a must-read for movie buffs, true crime aficionados, and the many still enchanted by the Monroe magic.

Admirable! You do not need to agree with all his conclusions to see that Wolfe takes us very close indeed to the dark truth about Monroe, the Kennedys, and that lonely death in the California night., "Donald Wolfe has far surpassed my exhaustive work and even Anthony Summer's tour de force in 1985. It is the most astonishing work ever to emerge in the literary Monroe sweepstakes." -- Peter H. • MARILYN MONROE DID NOT COMMIT SUICIDE!

I like reference books, and this has a lot of facts to prove Marilyn's innocence. I'm in the process of reading this a second time. To break it down for you, everyone in a supervisory position related to this case took part in passing it off as a suicide. From Johnny and Robby in Washington, D.C., to the head coroner here. No one that should've been questioned under oath, was. The housekeeper alone had three answers as to why she felt something was wrong that night. If I had the money, I'd distribute this book for free across America, then maybe they'd stop calling it "Camelot". What Johnny and Robby put over on their wives makes my favorite villain Billy C. look like a cub scout. I've just bought three more for Christmas ...

  • The most micro leveled case for murder yet!

Donald H. Wolfe He has not just shed a light on the case for the murder Marilyn Monroe but placed the living sun so delicately upon the conspirators, collaborators, and family members that the "Truth" gives Marilyn a voice of Justice from beyond the grave to tell of the events on how they logically occurred and came to the tragic conclusion. He weaves an easy and spellbinding thread to all the faces, titles, authority figures, So Called Doctors, lawyers, agents, lovers, husbands, friends and even a meager little house keeper that knew the truth and said nothing... We as a people should be outraged at the halls of power in the decades of mismanagement over what clearly from the beginning steps of the first officer on the scene, was a HOMICIDE! This Book tells it like it most ...

  • What a great book!!!

I bought this book because I really liked the other book about the Black Dahlia from this author. I cannot express how much I enjoyed this book. Finally, after all these years, people started to tell the truth about what happened. Alot of the rumors are true and alot of the facts they came out with in the beginning were not. This book just confirmed what the White House and Hollywood were really like back then. The book kept my attention from start to finish. There is nothing that I didn't like about the book. I highly recommend this book. You will love it. Thanks Bill Maurer

  • Not a great book
