One of the most popular television shows of the 1980s, MIAMI VICE helped define the fashion and music of the period while simultaneously maintaining a high-quality police-drama standard. The show is famous for its pastel colors and bright South Florida settings, which serve to counteract the sleaze its main characters often have to deal with. Sonny and Rico are two cops who work undercover for the Miami Police Department. They must balance their myriad personal problems with the difficulty of being undercover in some of Miami's most rotten criminal businesses. MIAMI VICE made a short-lived star out of Don Johnson, who eventually won a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Sonny, and supporting star Edward James Olmos (as a police captain) won both a Golden Globe and an Emmy. The second season of the series is presented here in its entirety.

Miami vice is by far the best way to see how Miami must be maintained by our law enforcement. But after one season you are getting to know the undercover police and how they put their lives on the line every day for us. This season takes you further into Miami and further into these guys lives. Enjoy the police in the nicest scenery possible. Season 2 rocks! Bring it on! Buy it today!

Miami Vice, Season 2 Review
I picked this set up off of Ebay after buying the 1st season set elsewhere. I orginally found the first set randomly on Amazon, not realising that the series had been released to DVD. Being a big fan of the Miami Vice series, I was very happy to see it finally being released. Like many others, I was and still am, a big fan of this show. Why may not come as a suprise to the millions of fans who loved this show. At the time it had just about everything you could want from a police drama. With it's many famous guest stars, the latest fashions and the bodies to wear them, good plot lines, fantastic scenery, colors and sounds, hot cars and chases, some really great music from current(at the time) performers and always a terrific soundtrack from Jan Hammer, this show just about had it ... Although towards the end of it's production it was loosing some of it's edge and the plots were getting a little tired and thin, the show still made a huge impact on television history. I can't wait for the rest of the series to come out so I can complete my collection. And of course, I'll buy it on Ebay!

While most shows from the 80s pale in comparison to today's fare, what remains in our memories is oftentimes more important than special effects or cinematogrqaphy. I remember Miami Vice as a first run show and set aside time each week to view the newest episodes as they aired. At the time, the show was a loud, racy and envelope-pushing groundbreaker that dared to explore such topics as interracial partnerships (I Spy notwithstanding) and the fine line our law enforcement people dance with every day (a la The Shield). This second season offers a much better Miami Vice than Season One. The stories are more coherent and more tightly written, the characterizations are beginning to flesh out and the series is just starting to hit its stride. I recommend that you consider this trip down ... It is 22 episodes long and includes many of the best of Miami Vice series shows, including PRODIGAL SON, OUT WHERE THE BUSES DON'T RUN, JUNK LOVE, PHIL THE SHILL co-starring Phil Collins includeing some of his music, YANKEE DOLLAR and my favorite of all the Miami Vice Tv series episodes DEFINITELY MIAMI. All of the series include stars of Don Johnson as Crockett and his sidekick Ricardo Tubbs and follow them as they fight crime in Miami and in some cases The Bahamas, Columbia, etc. Personally, I thought this was the best year of the series and I enjoyed many of the episodes and that is the reason I specially bought this disk. Step Back in Time
This was a great time for me and brings back great memories. The show had a ton of special guests of different styles. The personalities of the actors/actresses were varied and all the different cinematography also made this a great series. The music is what really tied it all together and made it a memorable show. There were so many things that came out of this show and even if a lot is not still in style, it was good just to relive it again. I wouldn't watch it over and over because then it would get boring but an occasional time to unwind and be entertained is what this offers for me.This was a great time for me and brings back great memories.
