    doesn't connect to computer

    it works fine, but will not connect to my computer (windows 7). i bought a brand new pc cable for it,but it just makes a gree line 3 times, then goes blank. i charged it up prior, and battery says 100 per cent. i guess i'll have to do without spftware and map updates, but for the price, its still a good deal

    Outstanding Product!!!

    This being my very first GPS unit I must say that I am truly impressed. Very intuitive with a light weight, large bright touch screen. Very easy to set up and use. Favorites were easy to set up and store but they have to be deleted manually. Restore does not delete them. Mine didn't come with a USB cord so I was not able to receive map updates or register the device or update my dashboard etc... but that did not have any effect at all with the use of the device. 3 days after purchase I used it to get me to and back from an airport about 140 miles from where I live without any issues at all. The only CON I have is that it does not come with a wall charger. When you take it inside to set up your favorites the battery wears down quickly. You can only charge the battery with the included ...

    Simple to understand and operate. Excellent product. Exceptional dealer!

    Only thing I can say negative about the 50LM is its size. When my shipper lost my previous 50 I bought a 60,,,what a mistake, I could never get the 60 to work. The 50LM is a world more simple to operate, more intuitive in its operation with few quirks necessary to remember. When I found a dealer offering a new, in the box 50LM I jumped on it even though Garmin no longer supports the 50. It is so easy to operate I'll never need Garmin's support! I haven't got it mounted to my satisfaction yet but that will be a simple operation.
