Originally went on the search for this DVD - and found several more items from this seller. I purchased multiple items, and contacted inquiring combined shipping. Forest_city_bookstore didn't hesitate! They responded quickly and were very accommodating.....even on Sunday! My shipment arrived quickly, well packed and protected. I hope to deal with them again. They are a Stellar eBayer to work with-- products were exactly as described. Truly an ethical seller, so appreciated! :)

  • TOTR's first album is a masterpiece!

I've listening to TOTR for a few years now, but recently decided to dive into their discography with 'Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes'. I started with their first album because 'Staring at the Sun' is one of my all-time favorite tracks, and the reviews I checked out regarding the album were mostly favorable. Without going into detail, I will say the album did not disappoint. It's part of my daily listening rotation in the car. I'm unsure about their newer stuff, since I've only listened to the odd track here and there (e.g. Happy Idiot), but if you're looking to get into TOTR, start with this one and work your way up. I find with indie artists, their best stuff comes in their first few albums. They tend to get progressively worse as they release more music. Case and point, Bloc ...

  • Brooklyn Primordial

An early full-length from a highly imaginative, sonic, melodic and muddy band from the east coast circa 2004. Features the hit Staring at the Sun, a moody soundscape remniscent of Peter Gabriel as if spooked and half-nutted, trapped in a cell in mega-city one being persued by Snake Pliskin. Transcends and raises a finger to contemporary indy and rap sounds. More squiggly than wriggly. Malone and Adebimpe chase our wild dragons. TV on Radio are even better live.
