After havingInfinite reference 2000.1's for about 10-15 years It was time for an upgrade. I've always loved Klipsch German design, great highs, and lows and good mids. I am constaintly listening to these speakers, I'm a musican in a band and have to learn new songs and I play by ear. I also watch a lot of movies and well... tv. I hear little nuances in the music I never heard before! Making me better musician and making a better performance. They are a great size love the magnets holding the front grill on (those pegs always break) and the Bass response is truely incredible for such a small speaker. The price also was very very reasonable. I of course did a full blown test of my old Infinity's vs. new Klipsch and I am still amazed at the difference in sound. The Infinity's sounded good but ... These Klipsch speakers are everything you would expect from such a respected company. To call them bookshelf speakers sells them short, because they really can fill a room with sound as effectively as much larger speakers. That said, placement is key and actually putting them on shelves is problematic because of how deep they are - plus they don't sound as good boxed in a bookcase. I would recommend pairing these speakers with a small subwoofer, such as an 8 inch or 10 inch from Polk. The speakers sound as good as they were advertised to be. I have them in a 14' X 14' room (kitchen) and they are surely all the speaker needed for the room. Bass is excellent (no subwoofer). I highly recommend these speakers.
