    Received it and used it as soon as I got it unpacked and figured it out. Works great, the 3D image I'm not so sure about but wasn't the function I was shopping for anyway.

    Garmin Oregon 400t GPS Receiver

    Awesome little GPS unit. Extremely Accurate, even in decent amount of foliage. Tracks well. Great GeoCaching features. Good amount of use life on batteries. Only down side is the street maps that come on it can be extremely inaccurate. When I first got it I thought it was off by 0.15 Mile (that's how far it show the intersection from where I live - House is 11yrs old so it's not a brand spanking new neighborhood and my Garmin Nuvi 260W and 285W both show the streets perfectly fine.) But when I popped the Lat/Long values into Google Maps it showed me smack in the middle of my driveway which is where I took the reading. So, what I'm saying is, don't plan on using this for a good roadmap based GPS, it won't do. But for treking, GeoCaching, route recording, compass, etc. This thing is ...

    Garmi Oregon 400t GPS

    This GPS, I bought for my husband to update an older version. This one has all the bells, buttons and whistles, he needs..He is an outdoorsman and these are so handy in his line of work. They are great for hunters, hikers, fishermen, whatever. If you are out in rough territory, esp., this keeps track of where you are, and has maps, to log your route, and mark the places you have been and also, if you are the type to get lost, this can help you find your way out..a very good investment! The problem is it is not easy to use with some mapping programs that he uses. that is the only major fault there is with it.Documentation for mapping, though is totally inadequate. You have to find other programs on line in order to use it.

    Great little GPS, kinda spendy

    This is an excellent GPS for backcountry use, map displays are very good and the functions are well laid out. The touch screen takes some getting used to but it works really well. The map screen dosen't redraw as fast as I would like, magellan seems to redraw faster. AA batteries are the way to go when you're in the woods. The 12v auto charger keeps the backlight on (nice feature) when it's plugged in. I also bought the windshield holder for my truck. The reception of this GPS is awesome!, especially once it has a signal.....it almost never looses it, even in dense forests or in deep canyons. Expensive, but overall an excellent GPS that I have really enjoyed using.

    This unit has a lot of good value for outdoors people.

    This is a good unit for use with after market software that shows property ownerships. The functionality is average and there are some funtions that the Lowrance does much better. But, as Lowrance does not release their program lanuage for developers the Garmin is the only way to get aftermarket sowftware. The size and battery life of the Garmin are very good.
