As many others say, this is a great all-rounder.
It is one of my favourite lenses ( I have 7 lenses and two bodies). I have seen others claim some parts of this lens are not very robust. I am not a professional but an enthusiastic amateur and I have used it pretty solidly for more than 10 years I estimate it has taken at least 20,000 shots. It was 100% reliable until I slipped and fell on some rocks as the beach and broke both the lens and the camera it was attached to. I used the insurance money to buy another one of these lenses - that says how much I like it. It's not cheap. It's not compact. It's not light. But it lives in my kitbag and gets used virtually everytime I take photos. I use it for landscapes (especially sunsets and sunrises), and also for portraits. Great lens
Love this updated version for the crop sensor camera. Not everyone can afford the expensive full frame cameras and it is time for these new features on a crop sensor lens

It works mostly as specified
The lens is a little "slippery", meaning it slides back and forth on the zoom barrel when you tip it. Doesn't affect picture quality, probably means it was used a lot.
