helpThe Owari Satsuma Mandarin is the hardiest tree of all mandarins. The fruit ripens in November and December and is usually picked before the first frost. Owari Satsuma Mandarin's seedless fruit peels easily and is like candy on a tree! This Mandarin variety produces sweet, seedless fruit with delicate flavor that ripens around Christmas time. This fruit is great eaten fresh, added to fruit salads, or even eaten as dessert. The tree only gets to about 10' to 12', but can be easily managed in a container with some pruning to keep it at any desired shape. As the tree grows you can also clip the lower branches to show off the trunk a bit, if desired. As an added benefit, the fruit keeps well on the tree. Owari Satsuma prefers full sun, good drainage, and moderately moist soil. This product is shipped bare root and planting instructions are included. Growing Zones 9-10. Pollinator is not required. Cannot Ship to AK, AZ, FL, HI, TXheart
helpSatsuma Oranges are said to be so sweet they are like growing candy on a tree. The Satsuma fruit has delicate flavor that ripens around Christmas time. The fruit is great for eating and is also a great dessert. Satsuma Orange Trees work great as a patio plant. If you live in a cold climate, just bring it inside during the winter. They produce abundantly indoors or out. Just place it in front of a sunny window. Satsuma Trees can grow up to 6' high when grown in a pot with proper pruning. About Fruit Production: Due to the blossoming cycles of Citrus & Fruit Trees we cannot guarantee that any of our trees will arrive with developed fruit on them. Since our trees are grown from grafts of mature trees, they do produce fruit years sooner than a seeded tree would. Usually our trees will begin to blossom and produce fruit around two to three years old. The older a tree is, the more likely it is to produce fruit. Fruit production is seriously effected by the care that the tree receives and also the climate that the tree resides in. With proper care, any of our trees will thrive and produce fruit for many years. That's why we back our trees with a 3 year warranty!heart

helpThis is the story of one soldier- what his life was before World War II, what he went through to survive the savage treatment of the Japanese during the Bataan Death March and 31/2 years as a POW, and his struggle to live a normal life when he returned to his wife and daughter after the defeat of and liberation from his Japanese captors. During World War II, one of twenty-five POWs in Europe died as prisoners of the Germans, while one of three POWs in the South Pacific died as prisoners of the Japanese. helpThis is a Japanese Frost Owari Satsuma Orange Tree. It is a variety of Unshiu mandarin that has seedless-fruit producing species from Japan. This is the most common of Satsuma cultivars and also the highest quality. The Owari is known for its frost resistance, cold hardiness, quick growth and generous fruit production. It has small fruit , like a tangerine. This tree prefers to stay smaller, that is why it grows very well in pots. Imagine having fresh fruit and the most fragrant flowers in your home year around. If taken care of right you should have fruit within a year. It will grow fast and have many more leafs within a few weeks. This will do fine in a sunny window or in a pot on your patio during the summer months. These can be grown no matter where you live by doing it this way. It is growing in a 2.5" x 5" plastic training pot. You will need to transplant this in a larger pot when it arrives. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you.
